Creating Your Identity

Employee number and Last Name

Q. Where can find my employee number?

A. Your employee number will be on your payslip. If you are a new starter, your manager will be able to provide your employee number. Your employee number is also used to log in to Health Roster.

Q. I am seeing the message 'Your employee number or last name could not be verified', what should I do?

A. Ensure your employee number is entered correctly, with no spaces and is the same as what is on your payslip. If your last name is incorrect on your payslip, you can now change your details on My View. Wait 24 hours after changing your details and then you will be able to register. You may also see this error message if you have an @Bupa.com email account. If you have an @Bupa.com account, you do not need to complete the identity registration process as you can use your @Bupa.com account details to log into Workvivo.

Q. I have entered my employee number and last name but am seeing a message saying my details have already been registered. I have not created an identity before, what should I do?

A. If you have registered before, you can recover your username here. If this is the first time you have tried to set up an identity, please contact your local Workvivo Champion or the Bupa IT Service Desk on 01784 893636 using a landline phone in your care home or village as calls are charged at the local rate.

Personal Email Address

Q. I don't have a personal email address.

A. You can set up a free email account with services such as Outlook or Gmail and you can use this email address to complete the identity registration process to access Workvivo.

Q. I have entered my email address and am seeing a message that the email address has already been used to register an identity.

A. The email address must be unique, and the same one cannot be used by more than one colleague to complete the identity registration process. If you have already registered, you can recover your username here. If your personal email address has not been used to register before, please contact your local Workvivo Champion or the Bupa IT Service Desk on 01784 893636 using a landline phone in your care home or village as calls are charged at the local rate.

Verification Code (one time passcode/OTP)

Q. Nothing happens when I select Get Code.

A. The settings on the browser you are using may have JavaScript disabled. Enable the setting, or try again on the different browser or device.

Q. I have not received a one time passcode.

A. Check the junk folder in your personal email account. Check the personal email address you have typed in is correct. If it is incorrect, you can correct the personal email address and select Resend Code.

Q. The one time passcode is not valid, what should I do?

A. Make sure the code you have entered is the same as what was received in the email, and that there are no spaces (if you have copied and pasted the one time passcode, there may be a space so try typing the code instead).
The code may have expired as it is only valid for 5 minutes. Select 'Resend Code' and type in the new code you receive in the email.

A. Try once again, ensuring you only select the images that contain what is being asked.

New Password

Q. No matter what I type, my password is not meeting the password requirements.

A. Try typing it somewhere else first, e.g. in notes, so you can see that it meets all the password requirements.

Confirming Password

Q. My password doesn't match.

A. Type in the exact same password. Try typing it somewhere else first, like notes, so you can make sure you are typing the same password.

Q. When I try to create my password, I get this message "The password contains a word that is not allowed. Try another password" what should I do?

A. If this message appears, it is because you have used a word that is not allowed for security reasons. Examples of words now allowed are Bupa, password, days of the week, months. Enter a new password and try again.

Username Confirmation

Q. I have not received a confirmation email with my username.

A. Check the junk folder in your email account.

Q. Will I be tracked by registering for this identity & using Workvivo?

A. Please be assured that cookies are not used for analytics, and will not be used to track location. Country/site data is stored, aggregated and anonymised before use.

A. Go to Workvivo and enter your username (this will have been emailed to your personal email address). On the enter password screen select 'Forgotten my password' and follow the instructions.

Q. What do I enter to log into Workvivo?

A. On the Workvivo log in screen, where it says "Enter your email address...", you need to enter the Bupa username that was emailed to you, for example joe.anyname@bupa.org. Then enter your password, and you will be logged into Workvivo.
